"On July 6, 2006, Martin Todd Cain ("Petitioner") filed this 28 U.S.C. § 2254 Petition for
habeas corpus relief, challenging his 2003 conviction in the Circuit Court for Wicomico County,
Maryland.  Paper No. 1.  Respondent has filed an Answer to the Petition and Petitioner has filed a
Reply.  Paper Nos. 9 & 11  After consideration of all pleadings and exhibits, the court finds no need
for an evidentiary hearing.  See Rule 8(a), Rules Governing Section 2254 Cases in the United States
District Courts; see also 28 U.S.C. § 2254(d) & (e)(2).  For reasons to follow, the Petition is hereby
denied and dismissed with prejudice."
